What Is Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is a liquid that bonds to your car's clear coat and hardens into a thin, slick protective layer. Once it cures, your paint gets a deeper gloss, water beads up and rolls off, and dirt, bugs, and road grime come off much more easily, so washing takes less time. The coating also helps guard the paint against UV fading, harsh chemicals, and bird droppings that would otherwise etch into the clear coat.
One thing to know up front: a coating is not a substitute for paint protection film (PPF). It's a very thin layer and won't stop rock chips. SV Auto Pros is an authorized Ceramic Pro installer, with 2-year, 5-year, and lifetime warranty packages, and we'll help you choose the one that fits how you drive and care for your car.
What Is Graphene Coating?
Graphene coating is a newer type of coating that adds graphene to a ceramic-style formula. It's designed to do the same job as a ceramic coating: gloss, water beading, and easier washing. It's often marketed as reducing water spotting, running a bit cooler on the surface, and feeling slicker, with good durability. Like ceramic, it is a thin layer and doesn't replace PPF for rock chip protection.
Results vary by product, prep, and care, so the right choice depends on your car and how you use it. Ask us whether ceramic or graphene fits your car.
